Vedic Astrology (Jyotish)
Though a so called 'Superstition' to many, I find Vedic Astrology to be the core mechanism
of the creation, the principle conduct of all of our lives. In the history we find that
many brilliant scientists, writers, poets, philosophers and other wise men were devoted to
this science. In many
famous men's lives Astrology has put it's clear signature of brilliant authenticity and
strong existence.

Sad enough that today, Astrology is teased for the sake of being unscientific. People are
cheated for the sake of astrology and lose faith from this. This is the result of lack of
honest, talended and truly devoted people in this subject. Also there is no lack of trash stuff which
are going fine as 'Astrology'. People do not believe in astrology only for the reason that
they just do not know much about it or it's powers. In my practical experience, I have
always seen it and thus learned that only and only planetary effects are the cause of
whatever happens in this earth. There are many systems in the Astrology and most are
unscientific and superstitions, only Vedic Astrology [Jyotish] is the authentic and
oldest one which was derived from a divine source and was passed down orally for many
thousand years through an unbroken teacher-disciple tradition. |
I am a practicing astrologer who offers paid formal readings,
consultations, correspondence courses etc. I have many records
of successful predictions and remedies through which people were
benefited. I own a professional website and the second largest forum on Jyotish on the
net having more than 5,300+ members. I also wrote a lot of
articles with publication in internationally famous Astrology
magazine. Click here to know more.

Computers, internet etc.
My mother gifted me a Pentium 233 MMX in 1998, which was the
introduction of IT in my life. I now use a Pentium IV PC with
160 GB hard disks, enriched with cool software and much more
informative and recreating stuff that I have collected since
then. I cannot
really think of a day without my PC. This is the reason that I
feel very homesick when out of home / town. Since Dec 2002 I
have been using a break free 24 hrs speedy internet connection. I really am never
into web designing but just to design my own websites. Still, in
March 2000, my project won the Award of Web Page Designing
Competition at the 4th Notre Dame Computer Festival. There my
team beat many senior teams. The news came up on some channels
and newspapers.

Our news came on newspaper with photos.

Chess
The 'King of Games'. It
is the battle of talent, intelligence and patience between two armies in a small family and
with a few soldiers. These days the chess world is far advanced. Even acquiring simple basics
and general chess knowledge takes tough exercise. You can't make good starting moves unless
you read good books. Mastering chess needs studying with innumerable old and new games.
Unless you play chess to a deeper level, you can never understand how much talent, intellect,
practice and knowledge this game needs. This game is simply wonderful !
It is a very scientific game
since it includes logical movements of the pieces in the 64 squares. So a computer can play
chess very well, depending on it's logic and mathematics. Playing good chess is a very
balanced combination of creativity and theory based knowledge. There are theory-based good
moves, you learn them from books and tutorials
and play them just from memorization, because some good moves
and strategies are established, there is no point to think about
them and waste time. On the other hand, for unique positions in games, you also need to take,
'Calculated risks' depending on your skill, insight and creativity, that is why an apparent
bad move proves a very talented trick after a while! For too much complexity and innumerable
possible moves, even the World Champion, or the most powerful super computer cannot assure
that it is the 'Best move' for a particular position, and this 'Endless
number of best moves' is the beauty of the
game.
>> Drawing
In my boyhood, I started drawing by sketching muscular men in my books. It's amazing how
could a three-dimensional object takes place on a two-dimensional sheet of plain paper,
made possible only for the God gifted talent of creativity. Drawing has been the innate
skill of me that I never had an opportunity to develop systematically with any formal
education. Click here to see some drawings of me done by simple Ms-Paint, based on the
game 'Street Fighter Alpha'. [This link
will be added soon.]

Music
Music... ah. A vital part
of my recreation. I am a serious lover of music. Music refreshes
my mind and provides me with mental energy. Sometimes I am very
tired after a busy and hectic day, but only listening to some
favourite music makes me energetic again. I am very selective
about music - I do not listen to a lot of them. When I listen to
music, I listen only, and do nothing else. Some people do other
things while a music is on, but I cannot concentrate. So when a
music is on, my whole concentration is on that. That is why I
often do not have the patience to listen to the whole
song, but I cut some parts of it that I like the most, and listen
to the partial song only. I have separate folder where
I keep such partial-length songs, ranging from 6 to 20 seconds
of different songs.

Movies
etc.
Movies are my all time favourites,
though I really do not get the time these days to watch movies.
I watch very very selected movies but when I like a movie (Or a
scene of it) then I watch it over and over - just like music. My favourite faces
include Michael Biehn and Paul Walker in Hollywood and
Salman Khan
and Saif Ali Khan in
Bombay. I also used to like Shahrukh Khan in the past, but
preference change. I like some
of the female stars' looks a lot, like Denise
Richards - I like her the best. I also like
Kirti Reddy, Isha
Koppikar, Celina
Jaitley, Sandali Sinha, and Ayesha
Takia from
Bollywood film industry.

pictures

My
all time favourite Indian movies are Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (HDDCS)
and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. HDDCS is the one that really touched the core of my
heart and I doubt if any other movie can ever do that to me in the
future. It's
story, direction, dialogs, star performance, presentation -
everything is really matchless. From Hollywood my all time favourites are
The Terminator, The Matrix (first two parts) and
The Fast and
the Furious. I also liked the technical richness of Terminator
2.

Books
I love to read books; Humayun Ahmed and Muhammad Jafar Iqbal are my favourite writers.
Emotional and sci-fi stories touch me most. I started reading
books from very young age, it had to do a lot to build up my
writing skills, vocabulary etc. And I read books till 2000, then
became busy with other things gradually. I really would like to
read books of other great writers, but being involved in too
many things makes it very difficult. I do not have the time to
even watch TV most of the times.

Adda (Lengthy lazy useless casual chats) & Shopping
I love to have adda with
my friends, esp. close friends. I like to hang out with them, go
to malls, visit stores, buy things sometimes, and then sit in
some nice cozy fast food shops or restaurants and have adda, for hrs.,
accompanied by juices, light drinks, strong coffees and some tasty
stuff like chocolate cakes, icecreams, and soft cheese sandwiches
etc.

I
like to pass time lazily and unproductively - being
comfortable and sit, and just talk about this and that. I like hanging out in small groups or even one-on-one than big groups unless it's Eid or something.
Because it allows me to share myself with them rather deeply.
This
habit I developed since last two years or so may be. It is
great. I also like roaming in malls with friends or even alone, and buy this and that. I just love to shop, esp. this and that.
Sometimes I am not feeling well and do some heavy shopping and
feel better and cheered up again, it often happens! I mostly like
to buy expensive items, show pieces (coming to that later, in the
bottom), branded t-shirts, jeans, and other nice things. Life is
great !
|
I also like to have
adda over phone, that's why I pay an unusual high mobile phone
bill per month, ranging from 4,000-6,000 bucks! Ever since 1996 or
so, when I was a school-boy, I often used to have phone
conversations for two-three hours!
>> Paintings, arts, and other artistic & sensual things
Hmm... I am fond of paintings, art works and all other artistic
things. Also I like sensual sculptures like of half nude women, I
have lots of them in my room. Well I do not like a porn, but
sensuality enhances an art dramatically. All the sensual
sculptures in my room are of good quality as the standard of art
is concerned. They do not look vulgar in any ways.
I hate when people call
them offensive - they just cannot understand an art. Such people
piss me off.

Cats and kittens
I love cats. I just love them. I would like to keep some cats in
my home, but there is no one to take care of them as I am out of
home often for a few days. I like kittens a lot - they are so
sweet, innocent and cuddly. If I see a kitten, I can hardly stop
myself from taking it in my lap and fondle it, caress it and
feed it cookies etc. It happened once that near a mall I
saw a mom-cat with about six small kittens, I was just amazed
that I spent about half an hour right there watching them as
they moved, ran, played, and fought with each other. I did not
want to leave the place at all ! But I had to.

moments with my kitten Mishu (June, 2006)
